No, it is not necessary. live aboard club puts at your disposal a skipper, who you can hire to sail whenever you wish.
What kind of certificate do I need to navigate a boat? Is my certificate recognized in Spain?
In general, all European certificates are recognized in Spain. However, you have to send us your certificate in order to verify that.

Upon your arrival, our skipper will inform you about the features and services included on the boat. He/She will also give you the necessary training lessons, so that you can become familiar with it.
What kind of insurance does the boat have? Is the insurance included in the price?
The insurance you purchase is a comprehensive insurance from the company Pantaenius, an international specialist in nautical risks. This insurance is included in the price of the service.
Am I purchasing a part of the boat?
No, you are not purchasing a boat. It is not a multi-property. You are only hiring certain services for one year.
How many members can one boat have?
Between 6 and 12, depending on the number of weeks that every member hires.
How can I book the weeks?
Weeks are booked quarterly through an online calendar that you can find once you have paid the corresponding quarterly fee.
Can I put all my weeks in only one quarter?
live aboard club offers you a tourist service that has been designed so that you can make the most of Majorca all year long. The weeks are divided in quarters.
Am I going to share the boat with other members during my stay?
The boat will be exclusively yours during the weeks you have booked.
Can I bring some friends over?
Yes, you only have to keep in mind the capacity limits of both kinds of boats, either when navigating or spending the night.
Can I share my member fee with others?
There is one fee only, but you can include different agreement holders who can share or split up the weeks as they wish.
